Android Device Streaming represents new capabilities that let you securely connect Android Studio to remote physical Android devices hosted in Google's secure data centers. It's the fastest and easiest way to test your app against physical units of some of the latest Android devices, including the Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet.
After connecting to a device, you can deploy your app, view the display, interact with the device (including rotating or unfolding the device), and anything else you might do with a device over a secure ADB connection—all without leaving Android Studio. When you're done using the device, we securely wipe all your data before making it available to another developer.
This service will first become available to select developers as a preview later in 2023, and you can register today on behalf of you and your team to join the waitlist for entry into the program. If you are accepted into the program, Google will contact you with instructions on how to get started.
During the preview, you will have access to select Android devices, such as the Pixel Fold and the Pixel Tablet, that you can connect to and use to optimize your app for these devices. You will need to use a Canary version of Android Studio to utilize this functionality.
