Des API Java 8+ sont disponibles via le désucrage

Android Studio permet désormais d'utiliser un certain nombre d'API Java 8 ou version ultérieure, sans niveau d'API minimal pour votre application. Grâce à un processus appelé désucrage d'API, le compilateur DEX (D8) vous permet d'inclure davantage d'API de langage standard dans les applications prenant en charge les anciennes versions d'Android.

Personnalisations de java.time

Vous trouverez ci-dessous un résumé des modifications susceptibles de changer le comportement de java.time, qui facilitent l'exécution de la bibliothèque sur les anciens appareils Android.

  • La méthode Locale.getDefault() est utilisée à la place de Locale.getDefault(Locale.Category.FORMAT) pour rechercher les préférences utilisateur. Cette méthode, ainsi que l'énumération Category, est nouvelle dans JDK 8.
  • Utilisez DateFormat ou SimpleDateFormat pour rechercher des modèles d'analyse et de formatage. L'API interne utilisée normalement est nouvelle dans JDK 8 et n'est pas compatible avec Android. La mise en forme dans la chronologie ISO ne semble pas affectée. Les dates et heures non ISO sont calculées correctement, mais formatées (et analysées) à l'aide de modèles ISO.
  • Temporal.getDisplayName(Locale) ne localise jamais les types de champs intégrés et renvoie toujours des noms anglais tels que "Day", "Week" et "Year" à la place.
  • De même, les noms chronologiques ne sont jamais localisés lors du formatage et de l'analyse, car ces informations ne semblent pas être disponibles sur les anciens appareils.
  • Le formatage et l'analyse sont limités à la plupart des constantes ChronoField (à l'exception des trimestres), et seuls des concepts de chronologie ISO tels que les semaines de 7 jours, les années de 12 mois, les époques av. et ap. J.-C., etc sont prises en charge. Les époques japonaises ne sont pas prises en charge. Les formats "autonomes" ne sont pas non plus pris en charge. Tout cela est dû aux chaînes localisées nécessaires qui ne sont pas disponibles via les anciennes API JDK.
  • JapaneseChronology ne prend que partiellement en charge l'ère REIWA actuelle, selon que les frameworks Android sur l'appareil et les versions de bibliothèque désucrées sont antérieurs au début de l'ère REIWA (2019).
  • HijrahChronology ne prend pas en charge les "variantes". Android 8 n'inclut aucune de ces variantes. Cela ne devrait donc faire aucune différence pratique.
  • Le format du fuseau horaire ("impression") ne localise pas les noms de fuseau horaire "génériques" dans les rares cas où le Temporal à imprimer n'inclut pas les "secondes". Les noms de fuseau horaire génériques ne sont tout simplement pas disponibles sur les anciens appareils. Seuls les noms "standard " et "heure d'été" sont disponibles.
  • ZoneRules utilise par défaut java.util.TimeZone. Les limites ci-dessous sont alors imposées. Notez que la méthode principale de cette classe, ZoneRules.getOffset(Instant), doit fonctionner avec précision lorsque des données sont disponibles.
    • En règle générale, les données semblent être disponibles depuis environ 1900 sur les appareils testés. Par conséquent, les requêtes portant sur 18xx (avant l'utilisation de fuseaux horaires modernes) renvoient probablement des résultats incorrects. Notez que le premier changement d'heure hiver/été a eu lieu en 1916, qui est généralement couvert.
    • getStandardOffset() ne fonctionne pas pour les périodes où un fuseau horaire donné utilisait un décalage différent de celui de l'UTC. De ce fait, isDaylightSavings() et getDaylightSavings() peuvent également renvoyer des résultats incorrects dans des périodes problématiques.
    • nextTransition() et previousTransition() sont lents, mais semblent précis dans les données disponibles.
    • getTransitions() et getTransitionRules() renvoient des listes vides. Ceci est conforme aux spécifications, mais peut être surprenant. Utilisez nextTransition() ou previousTransition() à la place.
