The buffer replacement mode. This controls how ensureSpaceForWrite generates replacement buffers when the capacity of the existing buffer is insufficient. One of BUFFER_REPLACEMENT_MODE_DISABLED, BUFFER_REPLACEMENT_MODE_NORMAL or BUFFER_REPLACEMENT_MODE_DIRECT.
